Manes & Motions is the only therapeutic horseback riding center affiliated with hospital in Connecticut. Manes & Motions Therapeutic Riding Center at Daniels' Farm in Middletown offers children and adults with cognitive and physical disabilities the opportunity to enjoy horseback riding for therapeutic, recreational, sport and educational purposes. The human-animal bond is a powerful force, and is one of the most important elements of the program. Therapeutic riding improves muscle tone, head control, increases mobility, coordination, physical strength, confidence and self-esteem. Ages 14+.

Now celebrating its 36th season, Summer Adventure's philosophy encourages each child's optimum development, provides opportunities for youngsters to value themselves and respond to the needs of others. Serving youth ages 3 through 9th grade, our day camp is located on a 75-acre campus. Two three-week sessions with professional staff features swimming, sports, musical theater, arts, band, horseback riding, ropes course, and scholastics. Challenge and Adventure Programs are offered for older campers as well as teen Biking, Canoe/Kayaking, Girl's Adventure, and Climbing trips.

Summer Place at The University of Hartford   Map
The University of Hartford offers five unique and exciting summer camp programs that share a commitment to excellence in curriculum, staff and facilities and all believe that learning and fun go hand-in-hand. Summer Place (grades 1-9) campers create a schedule of enrichment and athletic activities that reflects their personal interests. Summer Place Leaders in Training (grades 10-11) campers develop leadership and communication skills to become strong and confident leaders. Kinderplace (children entering kindergarten) and Li'l Place (pre-school children) combine the fun of camp with appropriate learning experiences. Summer Place Players (grades 6-12) is a five-week musical theater training and performance program.
